The concept of recycling of waste fats takes into account the fact that natural resources must be handled responsibly - the products that we can produce with the method we have developed are biomass within the meaning of the EEG, they are therefore able to replace biological oils and their derivatives in various areas. This not only affects EEG-subsidized power generation, but also other sectors such as the chemical industry or biodiesel production. This allows more meaningful use of valuable agricultural commodities and helps to reduce agricultural depletion and monocultures.
In particular, the new process utilizes grease wastes from fat separators and flotation systems, from organic oil residues from tank cleaning or similar operations, and offers important advantages:
• The resulting products have a high degree of purity and are therefore easily integrated into the range of comparable fat or fatty acid mixtures on the market.
• As a result, the entire revenue structure can be established at a higher level than conventional recovery methods for aqueous fat waste - which also leads to new and interesting conditions for the disposal company.
• The new recovery process is therefore not only environmentally friendly in the broadest sense, but also economically beneficial and thus takes into account both the demand for orderly disposal processes, as well as the use of renewable resources.
